should I use my OEM wheels as my winter set or go and get something else. Steelies might work but they aren't exactly pretty. There are XXR's where you can get a set for 400 bucks. . . they should be good for winter right?

You've got balls saying that here, Mr. Indian.

I agree with a lot of things here, except for the steelies thing, it just doesn't make sense.

I agree, (I think steelies are for cop cars) I'm just saying it takes balls to say so on Oppo. I think keeping your stock wheels for winter would be the cheapest choice, but depending on how long and harsh winter is where you are you might want something more stylish. If you got winter wheels, a set of daily/summer wheels you could have your OE wheels for track/autox tires.

XXRs are bad 100% of the time, every time.

They can't be that bad for winter wheels. Its not like I am tracking the car with these on.

Well my summer set will be my track car wheels as well. The OEM wheels aren't wide enough for the ultimate times! Although for drifting they are perfect! I was thinking something like this for the winter wheels. . .

Those are nice. That whole car looks very good. I wouldn't go any lower than that though.

Mine won't be that low, it will probably be something like in the top picture.

Yeah sure, it is pretty much stock right now besides the exhaust which is completely different.

Hot Lava orange, great choice. It will look great with those wheels on it.

Keep the stock wheels for when you want to sell it. NEVER sell a car on aftermarket wheels. The buyer will assume you've done stupid things to the car. When the time comes to sell it, put it back on stock wheels.
Get steelies for the winter. They might look crap, sure ... but the giving of fucks will be very limited when you slide it into a curb on an icy road.

Honestly, who really cares what your car looks like in the winter? Putting steelies on it just gives you a free pass to spray paint silly shit on the wheels and not have to care. I mean you could look like a boss in your FRS with the Umbrella Corp logo painted on your wheels. . .
Just go with the cheapest route while preserving the stock wheels for when you sell the car. No one likes to pay full price for a modified car, and it is very hard to even get stock money out of a car that has been modified.

Just use the stock wheels and save the steelie money for a nicer Summer set.

Rattle can the stock wheels black. Save the monies for new summer wheels. Done!
My buddy put index cards around the edge of his wheel where it meets the tire, taped it all down, added some newspaper and sprayed his STi wheels a Krylon gunmetal grey. Looked great.

Yep. It's not like winter is going to destroy the stock wheels, save your money and get yourself something nice.

While I don't know about the quality, which is iffy at best, the wheels do look nice. I do enjoy XXR 530s, but then again anything mesh rocks! Still aiming for the Gram Lights though.
